If you don't want to hear about the good or the bad and just want to start making money right away, scroll down to "Getting Started". This site has my seal of approval for being a legitimate work opportunity that actually pays.

Today we will hit the ground running with a post about making money through amazon.com from the comfort of your uncomfortable computer chair.

The site is called Amazon Mechanical Turk. As a Scrubs fan, this name is amazingly funny to me for one reason or another but, I digress.

The Good:

Basically, how I see it, people (usually companies) will go to the site with tasks that need to be done (known as "HITs") and post a page on what all needs to be completed. People like you and me then find these postings, complete them, and get paid for it!

The beauty of it is that it is all done under Amazon.com,which, most of us know and love. Conveniently, you can use your existing Amazon.com account to do the HITs. If you don't have an account, just head on over to their website and sign up (Amazon.com registration page). It's totally free and from a well trusted company. So, you don't have much to lose when signing up for an account, other than a little bit of time.

Another very good plus is that there are literally thousands of HITs you can do. If you wanted to, you could do HITs all day long, every day and never run out. You also get paid on a per hit basis. So, you get paid for every single task that you complete.

The HITs range from simple to more complexed. Usually with the more complexed and time consuming ones having a better pay. Personally, I tend to stick with doing just the simplest ones I can find. Manly because of time restraints. That's what works for me. What works for one person does not always work for someone else. So, get in there and see which ones suit you. There are just so many options, it is hard not to find a HIT that works for you.

Most importantly, it is legitimate! There is no need to worry about not getting paid or receiving fake checks in the mail. This is the real deal.

The Bad:

You most likely won't be able to support you, or your families living needs off of just this alone. It is however one of the best opportunities to make a little extra money. Mostly because it constantly has "jobs" available. In my opinion, it's perfect for anyone looking to make a little extra cash. It is also a good starting point for those of you that want to make the larger bucks.

The money you make per HIT is relatively low. There are many that pay $0.01 (these usually tend to be the easier, less time consuming ones). Then there are the really rare ones that can gain you as much as $80 for a HIT. Don't expect to see many of those though. Most tend to be in the $0.01 --$2.00 range. Which is great, because as you will soon find out, either by following this blog or testing it out on your own, every little bit adds up.

The only other minor downside, that I saw at least, was a couple (literally only two) posts had some interesting tasks. I won't go into too much detail here because I truly believe that this side deserves promotion. So, I will say this. If a HIT doesn't seem right to you, just move on and get to work on another one. Don't let that discourage you from trying this site out though. What i saw really wasn't bad at all, it just seem a little off.

Getting Started:

This is really one of the simplest "jobs" to get started on that I know. It is so readily available you can start working away and earning money within minutes.

It is best to be signed into your amazon.com account beforehand. Register here if you haven't already.

Step 1: Go here. Under the "Make Money" section click "Find HITs Now". There is a picture of what you need to click at the top of this blog page. Or click here to see it.

Step 2: Find something that interests you. Click the highlighted in red box "I" to see a brief description on the job. If you like what you see then click on highlighted in red box "II"

Step 3: After clicking "View a HIT in this Group" (the "II" in the above image) you will be taken to a page that shows you exactly what you need to do in order to complete the job.

Step 4: If what you selected sounds good to you, then simply click "Accept HIT". Now you can start working. When you finish, you get paid!

Step 5: If it is not something that you want to do but along the same lines, click "Skip HIT". Skipping the hit will give you another HIT similar to what you just viewed but different in its own respects.

It's as simple as that.

Final Thoughts:

In the end, it is really up to you whether or not you feel like giving this a shot. However, I highly recommend that you at least try it. It is free and totally legit. Also, keep in mind that this is just one of many free legitimate sites that I plan to bring to you in this blog along with other options for making money online. Cold Hard Honest Truth about the Truth:

Now, before I go and crush anyones hopes of ever making money online through work at home jobs, let me just say that there is money to be made. Quite a lot of it too. You just have to put in the effort to get it.

But

Yup, there is a but and gosh isn't it a big one.

I whole heartedly believe that without effort there will be no gain. I also feel that there is absolutely no way to get-rich-quick through any online means. If all those scams out there were true and we could make thousands of dollars a month simply by taking surveys, none of us would be here. Frankly, we would all be rich and there would be no need for this information.

Light at the End of the Tunnel:

Ok, so, sorry for the blunt end of the truth mace right from the get got. I just don't believe in leading people on. There are plenty of websites, or blogs, out there that do that already and lets be honest, we don't need another one.

But

Yup, there is another but, but this time it is a good one.

Like i said earlier, there most defiantly is money to be made out there and we are not just talking petty change here. It all just depends on how much you are willing to work at it. The range of things we can do to make money on-line from home now a-days is actually quite large. I'll be covering everything that I have learned up to now and even continually updating with new things as I come across them.

So, please, don't take this as a knife to the heart. There are tons of options out there for you to make money off of and I will be here to guide you through and even learn along side you for most of them. As the posts start to roll out, we will be discussing more and more in depth strategies for making money online.

Things to Take Away from this Post:

Introduction for production:

So, lets get to it. My mission is to scour the internet and bring to you, (the 3 people that accidentally stumbled onto this blog) any and every legitimate work at home job/website that I can find. Such work at home jobs will include anything from data entry, to filling out surveys, or to simply just watching adds.

Now, keep in mind that I'm not some all knowing guru on how to get rich quick off of work at home jobs. In fact, I don't even believe it's possible to get rich quick by taking one survey a month. Truth be told, though, this is as much a learning experience for you as it is me. That's not to say that I haven't done my homework, there are just so many (and I really mean many....like thousands) of work at home job sites out there. The trick to really making money is filtering out the "scam from the ham"(ham being a good thing....mmmm tasty) and loading up on it.

Thats basically it, you come here, I give you info, you give me some, and we all try to make a little extra money. If you happen to have any sites you want me to test out for their legitimacy (or just have a question about them), go ahead and drop me a line in the comments.
